We are currently seeking an experienced Reservations Manager with a luxury hotel background for our esteemed client, a 4-star hotel nestled in the picturesque Lake District. Boasting over 100 bedrooms, conference facilities for up to 200, six meeting rooms, a lounge, bar, restaurant, leisure and spa facilities, our client offers a unique and luxurious experience.

Role Overview: As an ambassador for the hotel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service standards. The Reservations Manager will be a confident operator responsible for the day-to-day running of the reservations department and team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the reservations process from initial enquiry through to confirmation stage for both individual and group bookings.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the sales and revenue departments to maximize revenue, room occupancy, and average room rates.
  • Accurately record and report all enquiries.
  • Monitor and report on local and extended markets.
  • Work closely with all hotel departments, ensuring effective communication processes.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in a similar role/venue.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and staff management experience.
  • Motivation and excellent communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm to consistently deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous and methodical day-to-day operation.
