Our client is leading the way in revolutionising their industry, driving towards net-zero carbon emissions, currently across multiple UK locations with further UK and international growth planned. The dynamic Head of Business Development will join our client’s commercial team, responsible for the creation and management of the B2B sales strategy, driving the growth of the business. My client are looking to recruit a proven commercial professional, experienced in identifying seasonal trends, leading and motivating a team to achieve and exceed targets whilst managing and maintaining high-value accounts.


  • Recruiting, training and developing a high performing business development team, overseeing high-value accounts and leading from the front
  • Setting sales strategies, identifying areas of improvement, delivering and exceeding targets
  • Creation of dynamic pricing models ensuring efficiency throughout the sales team
  • Managing the departmental budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and sales strategies are aligned with operational capabilities
  • Increasing and maintaining the client base demonstrating a strong understanding of the target markets, supporting the development of the sales offerings
  • Creation and delivery of KPI, budget and sales forecast reports for senior stakeholders
  • Regular market and competitor analysis activities

Reporting onto the Chief Commercial Officer the successful candidate will demonstrate previous experience working as a senior business development professional, passionate about sustainability, committed to excellence and embracing a culture of creation and innovation. They will have proven negotiation, organisational, prioritisation and time-management skills alongside excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. The ability to work well under pressure, embracing change and development is essential alongside high levels of computer literacy and IT skills.
