Arecibo are looking to recruit a proven Group Sales Director for our client; a leading hospitality organisation offering a bespoke portfolio of luxury hotels and resorts currently embarking on an exciting period of investment and development.

The Group Sales Director will be responsible for driving profitable, data-driven sales across all core areas of the business including:
  • Regional
  • MICE sales
  • Central Reservations
  • Corporate Rooms and Hotel Subscriptions
  • Weddings, Special Events
  • Tours
  • HNW and UHNW Strategic Sales
This is a senior role that requires a strong understanding of the UK hospitality market, as well as a proven track record of success in sales leadership across the segments outlined. Previous successful experience in Account Based / Target Account sales is strongly preferred.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop implement and optimise a strategic sales plan to achieve the company's revenue and margin goals.
  • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing coaching and support to help them achieve their individual, team and group targets.
  • Produce data driven sales plan by segment, partnering with data, marketing and revenue management around the pursuit, retention and rejuvenation of target accounts and strategic customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key corporate and leisure clients.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for each of the different sales areas (Regional sales, MICE sales, Central Reservations, Corporate Rooms and Hotel Subscriptions, Weddings, Special Events and Tours).
  • Represent the company at trade shows and other industry events.
  • Design, implement, and optimise an incentive scheme to drive growth from the sales department.
  • Partner with other departments, such as data, marketing and revenue management, to ensure the sales team is setup for success.
 
ROLE SUCCESS CRITERIA:
  • Achieve or exceed the company's revenue goals.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and grow the company's client base.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performing sales team.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key decision-makers at corporate and leisure clients.
  • Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  • Increased customer acquisition of HNW and UHNW customers.
  • Increased customer acquisition of high value event bookings e.g. Exclusive use weddings.
  • Revenue retention and growth of existing HNW and UHNW customers.
 
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ideally demonstrate a minimum of 7 years' experience in a senior sales role, preferably within the UK hospitality industry.
  • Strong track record of success in achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
 
GROWTH LEADERSHIP TEAM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Attend all Growth Leadership meetings and contribute to the development and execution of the company's overall growth strategy.
  • Provide regular updates to the senior leadership team on the performance of the sales team and the progress of any key sales initiatives.
  • Identify and assess new market opportunities and develop strategies to capitalise on them.
  • Manage the sales budget and ensure that all sales activities are cost-effective.
