Arecibo are delighted to be recruiting for our client, a canal-side 4 star Inn and restaurant in the heart of Lancashire. With the Lancaster Canal running alongside the inn and restaurant, this fabulous venue offers a warm welcome and classic home-made gastro pub cuisine using locally sourced produce. Currently the venue offers 80 covers in the restaurant. Outside of lockdown restrictions there are a further 50 in the bar with conference and events up to 150 guests.
The role of Sous Chef is integral to the success of the day to day running of the kitchen. As Sous Chef you will be able to demonstrate great leadership qualities including training and mentoring of the brigade whilst supporting them to consistently deliver fantastic dishes.
Supporting the Head Chef you will also be able to demonstrate flair in creating and developing the menu and you will have a great eye for detail.
The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate comparable experience within a similar environment. You will have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in food prep, food hygiene certification and a working knowledge of quality standards, control and hygiene.
